This series consists of in-camera multiple exposure images of colorful construction paper. The paper has been cut into basic shapes - squares, circles, triangles. The pieces are more or less arranged on a surface. The camera is positioned above. An exposure is taken, the camera is moved, another exposure taken, etc. Between 3 and 5 exposures performed. Individual exposures are then merged inside the camera. Minor cleanup performed in post processing. Inspired by constructivism, The Bauhaus and the Soviet artists including Rodchenko, The Stenberg Brothers and Kandinsky. I consider many of these to be heroes of mine, since a lot of this work was strictly banned under Stalin. Many artists were persecuted for their elitist designs. Still, a murky area to this day.
